Me, Myself and I
So while I have been away from my "blog journal" I have been working on taking care of ME.
Sometimes you don't realize how crazy things are around you until you're in "the thick of it". My life has been like that the last few months but I have also been working on a little ME time.
I have started to go to the gym twice a week--Yoga is SO good for you
I have been making things (crafty things) in the evenings. Usually while catching up on our favorite recorded television shows and baking J a bunch of oatmeal raisin cookies.
I submitted my first painting in an art show (something I have NEVER done before, and if I am rejected, it will be OK)
I try really (really, really) hard to not check my Blackberry every five minutes during the day and on the weekends. I never realized how stressful having this little device can make a person.
Sadly, I had to turn down some interior design work because there was no way I could fit a complete house overhaul with my current schedule. I have a hard time saying no, but it just wasn't going to happen.
I'm feeling good!

Missing
I've neglected this poor blog of mine. I have been so busy with work that I don't even have time to write about it! The business I work for has been doing really well. It's sad but whenever the economy is in the tank, we thrive--job security I suppose.
That is my excuse.
I am grateful that I have a job and that I work for a wonderful boss who still recognizes the importance of balancing work and family. It feels nice to be able to help people who have been caught in the ugly unemployment/economic mess.
With an overload of work comes a stagnant dusty craft room...poor thing. I will get back there...I hope.

The Christmas Sweater
For our "date night" Jason took me to see The Christmas Sweater starring Glenn Beck on Saturday night. It was a wonderful story--it makes you think about Christmas and what it really means. If you have a chance pick up the book or see it in the movie theatre. I also heard he is coming out with a DVD.

Happy Holidays
I took advantage of the Thanksgiving holiday and hung my Christmas decorations...but not all of them. I decided that this year I would only use the decorations that I enjoy the most. I put up our tree--of course and I even made a few chip board ornaments using Martha's glitter (I love that stuff!!).
I'm pretty proud of myself, I managed to make (and finish) most of my handmade Christmas presents. Here's a sneak peak....

I still have a few more to finish, but i'm feeling confident that I can get them done!
Hope everyone is enjoying the craziness of the Holiday's!
